What's my device worth? page
Give your website a page where customers pick their model and condition and see what you'd pay, in money or store credit.
"What's my device worth?" is a page for your own website. Customers pick their model and how it looks, and see your offer straight away, in money or in store credit with your bonus. It brings sellers to your counter with a fair idea of the price, so fewer calls start with "what would you give me for…".
The page uses the price list in Buying devices settings. It's off until an owner or manager turns it on.
Turn it on
- Open Settings › Buying devices.
- Make sure your price list has the models you buy.
- Turn on Show these prices on your website.
- Select Save buying devices.
- Open Settings › Your website.
- Under What's my device worth?, select Copy beside your page's link, or Open to see it.
Link to it from your website's menu or your Google profile.
What customers see
- They choose their device from your price list, grouped by make and kind.
- They pick how it looks: Excellent (like new), Good (light wear), Fair (well used) or Poor (cracked, or something doesn't work).
- They select See my offer.
The offer reads "Up to" your list price for that grade, in cash or e-transfer. When you have a store credit bonus, it also shows the store credit amount. The page reminds them to bring photo ID, that they need to be 18 or over, and to sign out of iCloud or Google first so the device can be reset. It also says you'll check the device at the counter and confirm the offer.
If their model isn't listed, the page gives them your phone number to call. If the page is turned off, or your price list is empty, it simply invites them to bring the device in for an offer.
