Vendors
Keep the suppliers you order parts from, with their contact details, your account number and a link to your orders on their site.
Vendors are the suppliers you buy parts from. Every part, part request and purchase order can name one, so you can see what's waiting on each supplier and order from them in one go.
Owners, managers and the front desk can add and change vendors. Technicians can see them.
Add a vendor
- Open Vendors in the left menu.
- Select Add vendor.
- Enter the Name.
- Add what you have: Account number (your account with them), Phone, Email and Website.
- Add an Order link if you'd like one (see below).
- Use Notes for shipping cut-offs, who to call, or what they're good for.
- Select Add vendor.
The order link
Most suppliers have a page for each of your orders on their site. Paste its web address into Order link, with {order} where the order number goes, for example https://vendor.com/orders/{order}. The form shows you an example with a made-up number so you can check it.
Once it's set, a purchase order that has the vendor's order number gets a link in its … menu (More actions) that opens that order on the vendor's site.
See what's open with a vendor
Each vendor's card shows how many part requests are open with them. Select the count to see those requests. Nothing open means you're all caught up.
Change or retire a vendor
Select Edit on a vendor's card, make your changes and select Save vendor. Everyone sees the change straight away.
When you stop buying from someone, select Retire. They move to the Retired tab and stop being offered when you order, but past orders keep their name. Select Bring back to use them again.
