Receive and count stock
Add a delivery to a part's count, fix the count after a stocktake, and see what's running low.
The count on hand goes down by itself when you sell or use a part. You change it by hand when a delivery comes in without a purchase order, or when the shelf and OnSite don't agree. Owners and managers can do both.
Add a delivery from the list
- Open Inventory.
- Find the part and select Receive on its row.
- Use + and −, or type how many arrived.
- Select Add.
A message confirms the new count and says if the part is still low. Select Undo on it if you got the number wrong.
Add a delivery from the part
- Open the part.
- On Stock and price, enter the number in Received.
- Select Add to stock.
The Labels box then fills in with how many arrived, so you can select Print labels and label each one for the shelf. See Labels and label printers.
Set the count after a stocktake
- Open the part.
- Enter what's actually on the shelf in Counted.
- Select Set count.
The count on hand becomes that number. If it changed, the message offers Undo, which puts the old count back.
See what's running low
The Low stock tab lists every part at or below its reorder level, grouped by vendor, which is how a reorder goes out. Each row shows what's on hand and the Reorder at level, and a part that has run out says so. Parts already on order show how many are coming.
The Low or out tile at the top of Inventory, and the count beside Inventory in the left menu, tell you at a glance how many parts need ordering.
To order them, start a purchase order with the vendor. Low parts from that vendor are suggested, topped up to each part's Stock up to level. See Purchase orders.
