Online booking
Let customers book appointments on your own booking page, straight into the calendar or as requests you confirm.
Your store can have its own booking page, where customers choose a service, pick a free time and leave their details, any time of day. Share the link on your website, your Google profile or in texts.
Turn it on
Only an owner can turn on online booking.
- Go to Settings › Appointments.
- Under Online booking, choose how Customers book online. The choices are below.
- Choose As far ahead as: from a week to 60 days. It starts at two weeks.
- Choose No sooner than: from an hour to two days from now. It starts at 2 hours.
- Mark the services customers can book: edit each one and turn on Customers can book it online. Until at least one is marked, the page tells customers to call.
Your booking page then shows the link, with Copy and Open.
The choices for Customers book online are:
- No, they call us: no booking page. This is how it starts.
- Yes, straight into the calendar: a booking goes in at once and the customer gets the details right away.
- Yes, as requests we confirm: a booking holds its time, but the customer isn't booked until someone confirms it.
What customers do
- They choose a service, and At the store or At your place when you offer both.
- They pick a day and a free time.
- They enter their name and mobile number, and optionally an email and anything you should know. For a visit to their place, they add their address.
- They click Book it, or Send my request when you confirm requests.
Only times when someone who does that service is free are shown. Bookings go with anyone free, and you give them to someone later. If the mobile number is already on file, the booking goes to that customer and nothing on their profile changes. A note on the appointment says what they typed if it differs.
A customer who already has 3 upcoming appointments with you can't book another online. The page asks them to call.
When a booking comes in
Owners, managers and front desk hear about it under the bell, and it appears on the calendar straight away. Anyone who'd rather not hear can turn off Online bookings under Notifications in their own account.
Confirm or decline a request
A request shows on the calendar with a dashed outline, and as Request on its page.
- Open the appointment.
- Click Confirm to book it. The customer gets their booking message.
- Or click Decline, optionally say why (it isn't sent), and leave the switch on to tell them you can't take it. They get a link to book another time.
Until it's confirmed, the customer can see their request and cancel it from its page, but not move it. If they turn up for it, marking them Here confirms it.
