Tickets, labels and signatures

Print the customer's ticket and the device label, get a signature on screen or on the counter tablet, and use the device page.

After a check-in, the customer takes a ticket with your repair terms, the device gets a label, and the customer signs. OnSite's checklist on the new order reminds you of each one.

Open the service order and select Print › Service order ticket, or Ticket on the check-in checklist. It opens ready to print.

The ticket shows your business details, the order number and a QR code, the customer and device, the problem in the customer's words, the drop-off checks, condition and what was left, the estimate and any deposit, your privacy notice and your repair terms with a place to sign. If the customer has signed on screen, their signature prints on it. The passcode is never printed. The footer tells the customer where to check on their repair online.

Owners and managers write the terms and privacy notice in Service order settings.

Label the device

Select Print › Device label, or Label on the checklist. The label shows the order number, the customer's name, the device and a QR code. It prints at the label size set in Settings › Labels. See Labels and label printers.

To label several repairs at once, tick them in the board's List view and select Print labels.

Get the customer's signature

The signature confirms the customer agreed to your repair terms.

On this screen

  1. Select Sign here on the checklist, or on the Checks & photos tab.
  2. Hand the screen to the customer to sign.
  3. Select Save signature, or Clear to start over. The order shows Signed.

On the counter tablet

A tablet on the counter can face the customer.

  1. On the tablet, sign in and select Counter tablet in the menu. It shows a welcome screen while it waits.
  2. On the service order, go to Checks & photos and select Ask on the counter tablet.
  3. The tablet shows the order and your terms. The customer scrolls through them and signs.
  4. The tablet thanks them and goes back to the welcome screen by itself.

For setting a tablet up, see The counter tablet.

Select Sign again if you need a new signature.

The device page

The QR code on the device label opens the device's own page. Customers see the device, where its repair is, and its warranty, but no names, prices or contact details. From there they can start a new repair or a warranty claim after confirming a code texted to the phone on file. Staff signed in to the store get a link straight to the order.

To see what the customer sees, select Device page on the order's Device panel, or Print › Device page. For more, see The device page customers open from their label.

Other printouts

  • Certificate of remediation: from Print on the order, after a virus or malware clean-up. The wording comes from Settings › Ticket and warranty.
  • Print the pickup shelf: from the board's More menu, a list of everything ready for pickup to check against the shelf.
