Price book and completion codes

Set the services and prices the counter offers, prices for each model, drop-off checks, device models and completion codes.

The price book is what the counter picks from at check-in: your services and their prices for each kind of device, the checks you run with the customer, and the models OnSite suggests as you type. Completion codes are your standard repair outcomes, used to record what was done.

Owners and managers manage both under Settings.

The price book

Go to Settings › Price book and devices. Choose the kind of device, such as Smartphone or Laptop, then use the three tabs: Services, Drop-off checks and Device models.

Add a service

  1. On Services, select Add service.
  2. Enter the Service, such as Screen replacement, and a Description shown under it at check-in.
  3. Enter the Standard price, used for any model without a price of its own.
  4. Optional: an Add-on saving taken off when it's done along with a main repair, and its own Warranty (days). Leave the warranty blank to use the store's.
  5. Tick Main repair for the repairs other services are added on to, and Same day to show "Usually same day" at check-in.
  6. Select Add service.

To stop offering a service, select Retire. It stays on past orders, and Bring back restores it.

Prices for each model

Select Model prices on a service to price it by manufacturer and model. Type a price where one differs. A blank box uses the manufacturer's price, then the standard price. Only with their own price narrows the list. Select Download to get the prices as a spreadsheet file, change them, and Upload them back.

Pricing options

Select Pricing options at the top for two store-wide choices:

  • Quote models without a price: a service can go without a standard price. At check-in, a model with no price shows Quote needed until someone prices it.
  • Quality tiers: the same repair at different prices, such as a standard or an original screen. Name the tiers, cheapest first, then tick Priced by quality tier on the services that have them. The counter picks a tier at check-in.

Drop-off checks

On Drop-off checks, add the tests you run with the customer at the counter, such as Face ID. Use the arrows to set the order they appear in, the pencil to rename one, and the eye icon to retire one.

Device models

On Device models, add a manufacturer and model so the counter gets suggestions as it types. Models typed on customers' devices are suggested too. To add many at once, select Upload a list and choose a CSV file with Type, Manufacturer and Model columns. Download the template gives you one to start from.

Completion codes

Go to Settings › Completion codes. Each code is a number and a name, such as 101 Screen replaced, that technicians tick when they record the work performed.

  1. Select Add code.
  2. Enter the Code number and the Name.
  3. Choose the Device it applies to, or Any.
  4. Add a Description and the labour Rate if you like.
  5. Select Add code.

When a repair is marked ready for pickup, OnSite offers the codes for that kind of device and those set to Any. Select Retire on a code you no longer use. Retired codes stay on past repairs, and Bring back restores them.
