Check my repair page for your website
Give customers a page where they look up their repair with its number and phone, and add it to your own website.
Check my repair is a page customers use to see where their repair is at without calling you. They type their repair number and the last 4 digits of their phone, and the page shows the device, where the repair is, and when it was promised. Put it on your own website and the "is it ready yet?" calls slow down.
What customers see
- They enter the Repair number, such as
SO-24808or just24808, and the Last 4 digits of your phone. Either phone on their file works. - They select Check.
- The page shows the device, a four-step progress bar (checked in, in repair, ready for pickup, picked up), the current step and since when, and the promised date.
When the repair is ready, it says so with your opening hours. It can also link to:
- A quote waiting for their answer.
- A pay page, so they can pay before they come in, when you take card payments online.
- The device's own page.
The page never shows a name or a price. A wrong number and a wrong phone get the same answer, and the number of tries is limited, so nobody can use it to find out who has a repair in. Your business name, hours and phone number show at the top, with a Call button.
Get your link
Owners and managers find it in Settings › Your website, under Check my repair.
- Under Your page, select Copy to copy the link, or Open to try it.
- Add the link to your website's menu, your Google business profile, or your texts.
The link is also printed at the bottom of every repair ticket.
Put the lookup box on your website
Instead of a link, you can put the repair number and phone boxes right on your own site. It works with any website builder, with no plug-in.
- In Settings › Your website, under Or put the box on your website, select Copy the code.
- In your website builder, such as Wix, Squarespace, WordPress or Shopify, add an "HTML" or "Embed code" block where you want the box.
- Paste the code into the block and publish your site.
When a customer fills in the box and submits it, they land on your Check my repair page with their result. You can restyle the box to match your site if you like.
