Sign-ins and staff changes log

See who signed in to your store, failed sign-ins and lockouts, and every change to your staff, for the past year.

The sign-ins and staff changes log shows who signed in to your store, who couldn't, and every change to who works there. Use it to check on a lockout, spot a sign-in you don't recognise, or see who changed someone's role. Entries are kept for a year.

Only owners can see it, in Settings › Sign-ins and staff changes. It stays open even when the store is read-only.

What's in it

The log has four views. Select one at the top:

  • Everything: all of the below, newest first.
  • Sign-ins: successful sign-ins, wrong passwords, lockouts, wrong authenticator codes, recovery codes used, and password resets and changes.
  • Staff changes: people added or removed, role changes, renames, passwords set for someone, people signed out, two-step sign-in turned on or off, approval PINs set, and approvals given with a PIN. Stores added or closed and plan changes show here too.
  • OnSite: anything OnSite Support did in your store. It's always shown as OnSite Support, never as one of your staff.

Find something

  1. Go to Settings › Sign-ins and staff changes.
  2. Pick a view.
  3. Type part of an email address, an IP address or a word in the search box, and press Enter.

Select Show older at the bottom to load earlier entries.

Common checks

Someone is locked out

Look in Sign-ins for their email. After five wrong passwords in a row, sign-in pauses for 10 minutes. To get them in sooner, set a new password for them in Settings › Staff. See Add your staff.

A sign-in you don't recognise

Check the IP address and time. If it wasn't them, go to Settings › Staff, sign them out everywhere and set a new password. Suggest they turn on two-step sign-in.

Who changed a role

Look in Staff changes. Each entry says who made the change and what it was, such as a person changed from Technician to Manager.
