Billing and plans

See your OnSite plan and users, switch between Essentials and Pro, change how often you're billed, and manage your card.

Your OnSite subscription covers every store in your business, on one bill. Owners and managers can see it in Settings › Billing. Only owners can switch plans or enter a discount code.

What the Billing page shows

  • Business: the business the bill is for.
  • This store: whether the store is paid up, with the date it's paid through.
  • Plan: Essentials or Pro, and whether you're billed monthly or yearly, per location, plus GST.
  • Users: how many people you have signed in against how many your plan allows.
  • First charge: during a trial, the date your first payment is due. Add a card before then to keep going without a break.
  • Discount: any discount on your bill, and when it ends.

Plans and users

Essentials and Pro differ in how many people can sign in:

  • Essentials: 2 users for each store.
  • Pro: 10 users for each store.

Each open store adds its share to one pool for the whole business, and someone who works at several of your stores counts once. For example, a business with two stores on Essentials can have 4 people.

When all your users are in use, you can't add someone new until you switch to Pro or remove someone. Nobody already added is locked out, even if a change leaves you over the limit.

Switch plans

Owners can switch plans when the business is billed by card through OnSite.

  1. Go to Settings › Billing.
  2. Select Switch to Pro or Switch to Essentials. The page shows the new price.
  3. Select the switch button again to confirm, or select Keep to stay on your plan.

Stripe prorates the difference onto your next invoice. You can't switch to Essentials while more people sign in than it allows; remove people in Settings › Staff first.

Switch between monthly and yearly

  1. Go to Settings › Billing.
  2. Select Switch to yearly or Switch to monthly. Yearly billing gives you 2 months free.
  3. Confirm the switch.

The new period starts today, and what's unused of the current one is credited.

Your card, receipts and invoices

Select Manage billing (or Add a card during a trial). Your cards, receipts and invoices are on Stripe's own secure page, which opens in a new tab.

If your page says OnSite sets up billing for your business, contact OnSite with questions about your bill.

Enter a discount code

  1. Type it under Have a code? and select Check.
  2. Read what it does, then select Apply it.

If a payment is missed

If your subscription isn't paid by its paid-through date, owners and managers see a past-due warning with the date the store becomes read-only. Everything keeps working for 14 days.

After that, the store becomes read-only. Everyone can still look things up and print, and customers can still pay online, but changes are paused until it's paid. Settings › Billing stays open so you can pay and get going again.
